Fried Whiting

Friday night was fun at our house. If we didn't go out to get burgers and french fries we always had great food such as fried whiting. My mother used to semi-fillet them but keep the skin on. they were scrumptious. Try this recipe!




6 whiting

1 c cornmeal

1 tbsp sea salt

1 tbsp ground black pepper

1/2 c of flour

1 c of vegetable oil


Take the scales off keep the skin

Take your fish and clean them well

on. Cut them in half to fillet size.

Add your oil to a hot skillet until a

piece of bread turns brown. Salt

and pepper your fish well add them

to the flour first then the cornmeal.

Drop your fish into the hot oil until

crispy. Fry all of fish place on a

paper towel until dry serve warm

with a salad or any pasta dish.
